Eureka Fisheries consists of a small lake (190m x 70m) and a pond (44m x 35m). It is located on Nicholas Road in Kennington, Ashford. This fishery is full of carp, tench, bream, roach, rudd, goldfish and perch. All anglers must dry their nets and slings after use to assist in killing of the virus on these items. this is a fantasic little spot with trout, eels, grayling and roach, the sports shed in gillingham is the best place to collect bait and so on, the warter belongs to gillingham and district angling, you can allso get tickets from the sorts shed to, its worth walking round the town and following the river as it stretches for a few miles and is fed from the river stour, if you like course fishing its worth a visit :)

If you're searching for a new personal best carp, look no further than Cackle Hill Lakes, where the fishery record now sits at a monstrous 43 pounds. Hawkhurst - Dove Lake is also worth considering since it has a significant supply of carp that exceed 36 pounds and catfish that exceed 66 pounds.

If you are searching for less of a challenge and would like to have a a constant bend in your rod, the match lakes at Cottington Lakes are a good place to start. The fishery is well stocked, making it a favorite destination for match anglers.

We could not find many fisheries which allowed fishing for free, however Ashby Farms fishery do sometimes let local fisherman fish their lakes for free. There are also a number of stretches of rivers which can also fished for free.

There is a large number of fishing clubs operating in Kent, some of the main ones are Cranbrook & District Angling Club, Bromley & District Angling Society (BDAS) and D.D.A.P.S. All of which offer a wide selection of lakes and rivers to fish.

Pike Fishing in Kent

Kent is a great place for Pike fishing, there is a large number of fisheries which contain pike going over the 20lbs mark. A few of them are Bough Beech Reservoir and Ford Lake with Pattenden Lane Reservoir containing Pike up to 30lbs. Please check the fishery rules with regards to using spinners/live bait prior to your trip.
