Jack's Lake

Northfield Road, Cockfosters, EN4 9DW, Enfield, United Kingdom

HAPS is a tiny, friendly club founded in 1982 to regulate fishing at Jack's Lake in Hadley Woods, Hertfordshire. Members and day ticket holders get access to the lake. For club members, the club organizes matches and coach trips.

The lake presently has 44 pegs, 27 of which are accessible through day ticket and the remainder are reserved for club members. Carp (up to 26lb), bream (up to 7lb), and roach are the primary species. Additionally, tench (6lb), chub (4lb), pike (18lb), rudd, gudgeon, and very infrequently, eels and barbel are present.

The lake features 29 pegs that are accessible through day ticket, with the remainder reserved for club members. Recent upgrades to the lake's access have included improved walkways, new metal safety platforms (at the majority of pegs), and new stairs to select pegs.

The Lake is open to junior anglers.

Regrettably, the lake lacks established disability amenities; however, we do have one peg that is wheelchair accessible. (We also have numerous other pegs that might be utilized with help). Access to the Lake is confined to wooded routes that may be difficult to navigate without assistance. Please contact the club for further information.
