Pike fishing near me
Useful Pike information
The Pike fishing season generally runs between (1st of October until the 14th of March). Most fisheries will not let you fish for Pike out of season, ignoring the rules will generally get you banned from the fishery.
Most fisheries will have their own rules regarding the use of Lures/Spinners and live/dead-bait on treble hooks. If using dead-bait is permitted within the fishery it does not always mean they will allow you to catch small Roach from the lake and use them as bait. We recomend you contact the fishery prior to arriving to ensure you're following the rules.
A fishing license is required when fishing in England and Wales. You can either purchase a fishing license for the day at the cost of £8.00 or an annual one for £30.00. For more information please visit https://www.gov.uk/fishing-licences/buy-a-fishing-licence.
Most fisheries will require you to have a unhooking mat that is both thick and large enough for pike to easily fit on which helps to ensure good fish care. A reasonably sized landing net will also be required.
