All the lakes at the River Medway – Pippingford Lakes are Sites of Special Scientific Interest with one of the most diverse Dragonfly populations, 25 different species, in the country.
These lakes offer over a mile of waterside to fish from. The fish are self-sustaining and species include carp to 36 lbs, pike to 28lbs, perch to 4 1/2 lbs, roach over 2 lbs and chubb to 7 1/2 lbs.
Night fishing is very popular with most people camping for extended periods during the season. Unhooking mats are obligatory and keep nets are not allowed at these lakes. The membership is limited to 120 people.
