In order to find this location, from junction 17 on the M4 take the B4122 to the junction of the B4069 sign posted to Christian Malford. Follow the road through the village, keeping on Main Road (B4069) through Upper Town, turn left into Dodford Lane and follow the signs to the lake. Dodford Lake is set in picturesque countryside and offers excellent fishing for beginner or experienced anglers alike. Margin fishing or surface baits are popular methods in the summer. Fishing at 8m on the bottom becomes effective in the cooler months. Pellets, paste and bread work well, as does sweetcorn and meat baits. You are most likely to find roach and bream. No night fishing is available. Barbed hooks are banned at all times. Day tickets can be purchased from the bailiff on the bank, who checks on a regular basis throughout the day.
