brafferton carp fishery

Borough bridge Road Brafferton YORK YO61 2QB

This water provides excellent day ticket fishing on 4 very nicely landscaped and heavily stocked lakes. Containing mirror carp, common carp, ghost carp, rare leather carp, tench, bream, roach, and caster crunching rudd that will bite no matter what the weather or conditions. There is ample car parking adjacent to the lakes. The water is open all year round and sport can be found at all times. With hard standing on the pegs making most suitable for anglers with disabilities. The first is Island Lake, it is the smallest of the lakes but does hold carp up to 27lb.The next is the newest lake, F1 and only opened this year.Ghost Lake is the next down the track and as its name suggests has quite a stock of ghost carp. The other lakes also hold stocks of ghost carp but the majority are in this lake.

I’ve never fished these waters and wondering what’s the best pond? I’ll be fishing for carp and wondering what baits etc to use. Thanks

Hi there, I’ve never visited your lakes before. I was thinking of coming tomorrow morning for the day. Do you have to book or just turn up. Which pond has the biggest fish please. Any info will be great thanks
