Did Brian Moreland once own this fishery???

He certainly did. He owned it and lived on site. It was a great fishery, fly only, with regular stocking and some very large trout (rainbow and brown) regularly taken.

Fished here with my Dad from 1980 to 1985. I remember a then new fly the 'Dog Nobbler' being a killer there in 1981. Plain split shot head, chenille body and marabou tail. Barbless hooks, as always. Brian was a top bloke, always loved a bit of craic with him in the hut. Great days.

This is now Kingfisher caravan park and nature reserve so no fishing.

This venue closed about 2 years ago . It is just a caravan park now. S no fishing.
