4 hours without a bite on long pool on 6th November. Had a couple of frosty nights so blaming that. Fished peg 1 which a couple of regulars said were more summer bagging up pegs. Doesnt hurt to have the odd hard day. About 8 others who struggled as well.

I have fished all over the pools and never blanked if you come to fish then fish I go to catch and do I have gone fully loaded had a great day I’ve gone with 11ft pellet wiggler tin off corn set bag off bits and a landing net and had a great time so if you need help let us know and I’ll be there to help

Lovely pool, fished both island pool and long lake, caught on both pools but definitely had better luck on long lake. Never blanked from here once you’ve got a swim going you’ll catch carp all day. If you fish the one side of long lake with the overhanging trees it’s better to fish the margins as you’ll struggle to cast overhead because of the trees, but the trees add to the scenery and aren’t a problem. Fish are immaculate too, if you can’t catch from here take up knitting instead!

Came about half a dozen times after lockdown and the catches got progressively worse, something just doesn’t feel right here, the fish aren’t interested whatsoever, be it using waggler/pole/feeder/carp setups etc, and every bait you can think of. Shame, because it used to be great here years ago, hope it picks up

Great little fishing spot. Never struggled to catch a carp evertime I've been. Some nice fish to be caught out of their. My biggest an almost 15lb ghost carp, ledgering a 12mm popup.

sw did you have a hook on your line lol this is the easiest pool ive ever fished in a day i can bank upto 40 carp i even fish it occasionally for a hour while my mrs shops in the garden centre and have had 7 in a hour if your blanking here sell your equipment and take up a new sport lol

Been here a hand full of times and blanked tried multiple methods I haven’t caught a thing

Started fishing again after a few years, took my son for the first time and he loved it. Been back loads of times. Friendly environment and staff and excellent fishing every time we go 5 star
