A lovely little tarn at the foot of Kirkstone Pass but not of any great angling interest. It does hold trout, small ones, and a few perch and eels but much of the shore is within an SSSI and access is restricted to the wooded western shore. Have a go if you must but probably better to leave this one to the wildlife.
Brotherswater is owned by the National Trust. The fishing is free - genearlly a fair indication of how good it is!
