Lockwood Beck Reservoir

Saltburn-by-the-Sea TS12 3LQ, UK

Lockwood Beck, five minutes north of Scaling Dam Reservoir, with a superb native roach and perch population.

Offering tranquillity, breathtaking landscape, and an addition of 1,500 skimmer bream, tench, and crucian carp in November 2017, the 60 acres of pure water is a must-visit for coarse fishing fans.

There are several fishing options along the one and a quarter mile of bank area, as well as along the dam wall on the water's north side. On the south side, anglers may fish from the banks of the expansive moorland, while on the east and west banks, mature mixed forest provides cover.

Perch to 2lb

Its not necessarily an error. I grew up in the area and the reservoir had wild brown trout in ( a small burn provided some spawning) and a mayfly hatch some years! Later it was stocked with rainbow trout but occasional big brownies came to the fly especially near to the rocky deeper section in the corner distant from the dam. Recently I've heard its run as a coarse fishery and shocked this was allowed by the Environment Agnecy if they are stocking with coarse fish. It always had some perch but they are native to the UK.

This is obviously an error as this appears to be Lockwood Beck Reservoir.
