There is no fishing on this lake as the councils have not found anyone to take on the lease. Lake is stocked with Carp up to 30lb, pike up to 20lb, roach over 1lb, perch over 1lb, rumoured to hold catfish.
So glad such a great little lake has been taken over by BMAPS, joined as member as soon as I heard, met some of the anglers briefly and was impressed with work they carried out to open up swims, and cut back areas that were over grown, once again this great lake is accessible and hopefully locals and families will give it a try, 3 generations of my family have fished this lake and spent lots of pleasurable hours and days on this lake.

Have fished Potomac lake as a kid and adult shame not open area going into disarray, as to rumour of Cats in lake untrue, former bailiff started rumour hoping to put some in, Common carp & Mirrors 30lb likely mainly 10lb to 25lb, has Roach and Perch but 1lb doubtful, some small Jack Pike and in past used to hold Tench and Crucians, but not for many years now, cannot fish around island area near gate as this has been made a wildlife reserve area for birds, was netted either end to stop fish going around the island but probably rotted away by now, did consider taking on lease, as you see know a lot about lake and tactics for catching, but retired and could not commit time and finance to the venture, perhaps park officials could approach a club like the Civil service etc. to take on the lease rather than private enterprise.
