Southminster Pits is owned by the Billericay & district angling club. There are a number of pits on the complex with pits 1, 2 and 3 holding some very large carp that are reaching over the 30lb mark. Pit 1 also holds some very large tench that go over 8lb with double-figure bream occasionally being caught. Pit 9 holds a respectable stock of smaller carp which will suit match fisherman perfectly. The complex also caters for disabled fisherman.
