Blackdyke Trout Fishery

Blackdyke Drove, Thetford, IP26 4JW, Norfolk, United Kingdom

Rainbow and Brown trout are well stocked at the fly fishery.

The Trout Fly Fishery is located at Hockwold-cum-Wilton, only 10 miles west of Thetford in Norfolk, in an area surrounded by lovely East Anglian scenery, and features an 8-acre lake with big grassy banks for casting.

The fishery has been operating for almost four years and now has a purpose-built lodge to serve fly fishing clients and any guests, with restrooms for women, gentlemen, and the disabled, as well as hot refreshments and light nibbles.

The lake is rich in natural fly life, with a healthy population of "hard fighting" rainbow trout ranging in size from 2 to 12 pounds that respond well to dry flies. Brown trout can also be seen in the area.
