Hambleton Fisheries

Ghants Lane, Hambleton, FY6 9DG, Lancs, United Kingdom

Highfield Fisheries first opened its doors to the public in July of 2003 and is set in rural Lancashire between Lancaster and Blackpool. At that time it consisted of 2 match/pleasure lakes and a specimen carp lake. The fishery operated in the same vain until the later part of 2006. It was then, reluctantly, decided to convert the specimen lake (Oak) into a match lake.
Considerable planning went into the conversion and work commenced in the September of 2006. The lake has now been converted into a 42 peg match lake.
Ash lake is a match and pleasure lake which is 1.7 acres in size and has 25 pegs. The lake has two central islands which can be reached with the waggler and tip.
Beech Lake is a 2.5 acre Match/Pleasure Lake, ideal for club bookings. It has 35 custom built pegs, all accessible from the path.
Oak lake is our jewel in the crown, converted from the specimen lake, it now has 42 spacious pegs. It is 4 acres in size.
