The Horns Dam fishing lake is well established and has been home to Carp and other coarse species for many years. An addition to the main lake which is the “old Dam” there are 3 other small lakes which appeal to match anglers from all over Lancashire. There are mixed course species including Bream, Roach, Tench, Perch, Rudd, Crucian Carp and Mirror, Common and Leather Carp to 29lb+.The main lake is around four acres in size and has a small island – the stock of Carp is quite prolific and captures of 40 fish in a session are not uncommon. Most Carp are around the 6 – 10 pound mark however larger specimens do present themselves regularly with a lake record of almost 30lb.The site is not only a fishery, infact Horns Dam is a certified Caravan site with room for 13+ touring vans complete with Showers, Toilets and electric hook-ups.The Horns Dam Fishery and Caravan Site is a quiet site offering beautiful views in a peaceful environment. Whether you like to fish, or not, you will enjoy your stay in Goosnargh’s natural countryside. Horns Dam is also a vantage point for touring the Ribble Valley and Forest of Bowland, with only an hour’s drive to the Trafford Centre Manchester or the Lake District Cumbria.The Horns Dam is only 35 minutes from Something Fishy Angling Centre where you can buy bait for your fishing trip.
