Brompton Lakes is an angler’s paradise. The lodges are set around two well-stocked coarse fishing lakes and are just a stone’s throw from the banks of the River Swale, making the opportunity for varied and enjoyable fishing as plentiful as the catch. Carp weighing up to 20lb, Bream, Tench and Roach can all be found in the lakes on site, so we’d recommend you bring along a variety of tackle and bait. Even more variety awaits you when fishing from our easily accessible 0.75 miles of river frontage. In season, this stretch of the fast-flowing River Swale is home to Grayling, Wild Brownie, Dace and Perch and, with a little skill and patience, any or all of these could be the catch of the day. Brompton Lakes stocks a small selection of fishing bait. Please ask at reception on arrival.
