Oasis Lakes comprises three lakes; Carp Lake, Roadside Lake and Island Lake, covering approximately four acres on an 8.5 acre site. The lakes were dug out for sand and gravel in the 1930's and, thereafter, run as a Day Ticket Fishery for many years. For 30 years, prior to 1998, the property was privately owned and used as a Trout fishery. In recent years substantial improvements have been made to the fishery, including: Access to all lakes by car. Hard car parking. Overspill car parking. 98 purpose-built quality pegs, the majority with car parking behind. Comprehensively stocked lakes. Comprehensive aeration system. Oasis Lakes has been professionally constructed to a very high standard. Carp Lake Approximately 1.8 acres. Average depth 8 to 10 feet. Large head of double figure Carp up to 38lbs. The record pleasure catch in one day is 280lbs! Tench (to 10lbs), Catfish (to 17lbs), Grass Carp (to 16lbs). Pegs 81 to 98. Roadside Lake Approximately 1.4 acres. Average depth 8 to 10 feet. Main species are Silver Fish, Bream, Tench, Small Carp, Barbel and Ghost Carp. This lake is mainly used for club matches. Pegs 31 to 80. Island Lake Approximately 0.8 acres. Average depth four to five feet. Main species are Tench, Crucian Carp, Roach, Rudd, Perch, Small Carp, Barbel and Chub. Pegs 1 to 30.
