Nellbridge Fishery

Aynho, Banbury, OX17 3NY, Oxfordshire, United Kingdom

Over the past years, Old Lake has earned itself a reputation for excellent mixed fishing. Situated in a sheltered position, this one acre coarse lake is stocked with carp from 2lb - 16lb, roach, perch and bream. The New Lake is stocked with plenty of mixed size carp (largest recorded is 26lb), tench, roach, rudd and perch. Parking is lakeside, making it an ideal venue foe the disabled angler. For the specimen angler the 5 acre Carp Lake is stocked with large mirror and common carp (you can also expect to catch some good sized perch). There is a lakeside car park making access easy for the disabled. No poles or keep nets allowed and anglers are obliged to use handling mats and 6lb line.

Are you still open for day ticket fishing

Carl - replied on 12nd Aug 2020 at 11:03am

Richard - the speci lake, as Dylan said, is syndicate now. However, the "New Lake" (not the one under the railway bridge) is now open for day tickets again - 2 rods £10 6am-8pm ...... They only allow 8 pegs max, and there are some bloody big fish in there

I went in july 2017 me and my gramp and we got there and the farmer said it is closed now and in a few months that he would be making a syndicate out of it we were allowed to fish the day as a one off but he said to try inform people so they wouldnt be disappointed I had a 16lb common on the back lake and I am told by my gramp that a few years ago the front lake had some big carp in like 30lb+ maybe a few 40s it would be interesting to see how much the syndicate I'd there but sadly it is shut for non syndicates
