Went on today 30/10/21 first and last time!! A chap called Keith told me to fish down the bottom of the lake out of the way, when I asked why I could not fish next peg down he said because he liked to space people out yet every peg was in use so why couldn’t I just fish where I was setting up! I have felt more welcome at Cudmore and Heronbrook fisheries and they welcome return anglers of which I certainly am unlike this place. Take my advice and fish elsewhere.

Went on Saturday 26/06/21 to learn prices had increased and the time you have to be off the water was dropped to 6pm from 9pm. The website hasn't been updated, allegedly because the owners are getting a divorce. And theirs issues regarding the website password, which was the excuse used several times throughout the day by phyllis the interfering bailiff. She is the rudest, most interfering bailiff I have ever had the displeasure of ever meeting. My girlfriend caught a 11lb common carp, and phyllis sat in her car and watched everything we did. We landed it correctly, used a wet unlocking mat, along with a barbless hook. My girlfriend wanted a picture with it. As soon as I started to release the carp, she jumped out of the car, screaming 'that fish better not be floating tomorrow!' 'People dont realise they have a swim bladder' I've fished for 40 years, know all about fish care etc.. there was a large group of lads turned up, shouting, casting every couple of seconds, badly landing fish.. yet nothing was said to them. This woman seemed to have nothing better to do all day, other than disturb the people that just wanted a quite days fishing. We won't be going back, purely because of phyllis and her attitude. There are plenty other fisheries, with bailiffs that are respectful towards the people who are fishing in the correct way, and also appreciate it that its us psingvthere wages. Awful woman, terrible attitude. Stay away, unless you want a days fishing ruined.
