The pools are located at the border of Powys and Herefordshire. Pump house pool is available exclusively to members, day tickets buy access to Larches pool only. Throughout the year Red Lion Piscators Fishing Club hold many fishing matches, these however are exclusive to members only, not to day tickets holders. March through to mid November is peak season. The club also holds an open weekend where part of the proceeds go towards a different charity every year. Both pools contain a variety of coarse fish including carp, bream, tench, roach, perch, chub, gudgeon, rudd and barbel.
