Piltdown Pond

Copthorne Common Road, Copthorne, RH10 3, West Sussex, United Kingdom

A mixed fishery, Piltdown Pond has the potential to produce some respectable fish. It is well-liked by carp and pike fishermen, and some 20-pound carp have been recorded there. The fishery is owned by the Copthorne & District Angling Society, a long-standing, charitable organisation founded more than 80 years ago. A huge, lovely pond of 4 acres, Piltdown Pond is roughly two miles north-west of Uckfield.

The lake will be improved by the Copthorne & District Angling Society, who also want to build a new parking lot, upgrade the swim area, desilt the pond, eradicate weeds, add more fish to the water, and build an island at the upper end of the pond.

Carp up to 20lbs
