Chichester Canal

Canal Wharf Road, Chichester, PO19 8, West Sussex, United Kingdom

This three and a half mile stretch of water, owned by the Chichester
Ship Canal Trust, has a large stock of fish, including; Bream over 10lb,
Pike and Carp over 20lb, Perch, Roach, Tench, Gudgeon, Rudd, Dace, and
Crucian Carp. Due to increased use of the pleasure trip boat there is
usually plenty of colour in the water which has greatly improved the
fishing.Parking is available both at the A27 bridge (eastbound) and also at the
Hunston bend where about 20 cars will find room. A village shop and the
Pub (the Spotted Cow) will cater for the needs of Anglers who have run
out of supplies! The well maintained tow paths mean easy access, even
for the disabled. The stretch from the Canal Basin near the Police
Station in Chichester, to the A27 Chichester Bypass bridge is closed to
fishing from 1st April until the 30th September.
