YDAA control fishing on the right bank between Naburn Weir and the Old Salmon Hut, as well as three other portions designated by yellow-tipped posts. Night fishing is prohibited. and day passes are not available due to the fact that this is a member-only water.
Parking is available directly outside the gate, and once the hay has been cut – often by late July – automobiles may be driven down the riverside track AT YOUR OWN RISK.
The weir pool itself is capable of producing outstanding catches of all species. Roach and skimmer bream may be caught with a maggot or caster feeder, while the weir pool has specimen chub, barbel, and even river carp. Salmon have been spotted on occasion.
