Thirteen lakes and pools have been created from the former gravel works at Packington Somers Coarse Fishery, which is located in lovely surroundings. Day and season tickets for anglers of all skill levels are available for both recreational and competitive fisherman.
In the summer, the fishery is open from 7 a.m. until sunset, while in the winter, it is open from sunrise to sunset. There is a cafe and tackle shop in the on-site lodge, which is always staffed. A large parking lot is available throughout the fishery, and most of the pools are accessible to disabled anglers. That braid is not allowed is one of the main restrictions, as is the use of barbless hooks during matches, keepnets, and the maximum hook size of 10. Fishermen are expected to familiarize themselves with the lodge's rules, which are displayed for all to see.
Molands: a 60-pitch match and recreation lake with carp, F1 hybrids, tench, bream, roach, and perch as its primary inhabitants. Catch rates are regularly in the 22-pound range, with match weights of more than 100 pounds not unheard of.
Gearys: It is an eight-acre, forty-peg match and leisure lake that provides great carp fishing, with plenty of double-figure fish up to twenty pounds, as well bream and roach.
Willow, a 13-spot pool, is a favorite with anglers looking to catch carp up to 18 pounds, as well as F1 hybrids, skimmers, tench, and crucians. In addition, Crescent, Alder, Reedy Bay, and First Bay are four smaller pleasure pools that are well-stocked and suitable for both novices and experts.
Little Gearys: Fish for F1 hybrids, carp, bream, tench, and roach at Little Gearys, a popular match and leisure lake. Over 230lb match weights have been recorded on Little Geary's.
Anniversaries: With 24 match and pleasure pegs, this 122-acre pool offers fantastic fishing for the likes of hybrid F1 carp, brown roach, tench, and carp.
Siblings A & B: Redeveloped twin pools have canal-style match lakes divided by 40 pegs for siblings A and B. Carp, F1 hybrids, skimmers, tench, ide, and barbel are the principal targets.
Gratuities: Carp, Tench, Skimmers, Crucians and Barbel populate this 16-pegged match and leisure lake.
