We are a family-run fishery in South Wiltshire, and welcome you to Walden Estate Fishery. Walden provides unique fishing in a beautiful and tranquil setting.

The fishery was designed to provide a diverse range of specimen carp fishing opportunities. The lakes are home to a diverse population of attractive mirror and common carp of various strains. The lodge has a toilet, shower, bait freezer, and electric outlets, as well as safe parking.

1ST LAKE

This was the initial project for the new fishery, and it was originally two tiny ponds. A barrier dividing the two ancient ponds was destroyed, as well as a few of old islets.

Lake 1 is about 3 acres in size and is stocked with a variety of English breed carp. The fish were hand-picked, and the stock is of extremely good quality, including a mix of scaly, linear, and leathery mirrors, as well as a few commons.

There are five designated swims as well as a number of alternative stalking places.

This lake is accessible for private rentals of three or seven nights, with a maximum of four anglers. We are quite optimistic about the lake's future, and we hope you enjoy your visit.

2nd LAKE 

The original lake is rather lovely. The lake was excavated in the 1980s for trout fishing, and as a result, it is quite shallow. The lake is rich in characteristics and provides an ideal setting for fish to grow.

The lake is 2 acres in size and has a large number of original stock imported from other lakes, as well as a variety of new species that make fishing a delight.

We will allow a maximum of five anglers on a first-come, first-served basis. Closed for restoration; scheduled to reopen in fall 2022.
