Established in 1887, we are proud to offer its members some of the finest stretches of river and some of the most natural still water for miles around.
Fishing on our association waters will give you the chance of catching a large variety of specimen fish, including but not limited to, Carp to 32lbs 4oz, Pike to 30lb, Barbel to 16lb, Catfish to 39lb 7oz, as well as plenty of Chub, Bream, Tench, Roach, Perch and Rudd. So there really is something for all anglers.
The club is lucky enough to have a picture perfect wilderness of lakes and rivers at its disposal. Secluded mature lakes and quiet river stretches abound, and other than the pre arranged matches you can often find yourself with whole river stretches or even lakes to yourself. You won't find tarmac roads or paths, manicured swims, busy roads or public access to most areas of the fishery, so if its a secluded quiet spot to fish you seek, away from the mainstream, then this could be the club for you.
Recent years have seen the Club undertake many changes, including the ongoing undertaking of work parties to maintain and improve swim access, the re-opening of vehicle access and parking through the Sherington Lakes complex has made a big difference. Along with the stocking of VS carp into the Big Pit, which with funds prevailing could see the beginning of a stocking programme of specimens of the future into the Big Pit.
