I wouldn’t normally write a review like this but I’m absolutely gobsmacked. I’ve phoned Steve up to book a peg and was offered he said he would “fit me on” for £60! But I wouldn’t need a bivvy as I could stay in one of the pods. A bricked up outhouse. I’ve arrived at 3pm Friday and there was a tradesman working on the “pod” and I was given peg 5 which is a double peg to share with an unknown angler. So I’ve paid full price to split a swim with somebody I’ve never met “luckily enough the lad was from my home town and was a top bloke”. The tradesman left after about 2 hours and then returned the day after to continue his work Saturday morning for about 3 hours, hammering sawing and putting up flashing on a roof covering my gear in sawdust and insulation foam. I was put on lake 2 and we were the only people on the whole lake with 1 other angler on lake 1 and the owner had decided to put us on the same swim. The bailiff however had 4 rods out right across a bank (not on a peg) absolutely shovelling house pellet in the his swims. The specimen lake (lake 2) has had most of big the fish taken out due to it being dug out and put into lake 1 and never returned them. This place is literally a building site and I won’t return. £60 for 24hours was an absolute joke especially as he had contractors working where I was staying as I was fishing. Absolutely no prior warning or peace and quiet. Stay well clear!
