The 6 acre lake is spring fed with a gravity fed fountain at the centre. It is stocked regularly with rainbow and brown trout, and fishing is by fly only. Bank and boat fishing is available, boats are £1.50 to hire for an hour. First time visitors are requested to call ahead to arrange to be shown the boathouse facilities and to familiarise yourselves with the water.
