I am hoping to pop ut for a few hours fishing on Saturday. Not having been to Hollies before thought I ought to check that you are open and that there is no need to book (or if so can I book?). Thanks and hope to see you Saturday. Brian hegarty

Came down for the weekend from Scotland with my family. My 13 year nephew is learning fly fishing so I looked up this place, it did say dust till dawn. We arrived at 7:40pm on a summers night, posted our money through the letterbox then set up and casted a line out then a grumpy guy came over and said we close at 7pm. I said we have just paid £15 for catch and release he said you should’ve known the time we close in a very grumpy tone. This is the 1st trout fishery in my life that closes at 7pm on a summers evening, the rises were unreal, I just can’t get my head round it. Anyway this guy needs to work on customer service that’s for sure.

I have been fishing at the hollies for the last 16 years, I have never known the owner Rob to be rude or use expletives to anyone least of all anyone with minors. Rob teaches from young to old ,with patience and humility. With excellent results.

Please don't fish here this owner is rude and has no idea about how to treat paying customers. I was going to come with my 6 year old son i am so glad i didn't as the language and expletives used by the owner is something to behold. Clearly something going on behind the scenes to behave and act in this way, i wonder how many other people have experienced this rudeness. A real shame as its right on my doorstep and would have been a regular customer, would not go back now even if i was paid to. Unfortunately it will be Hollies loss....
