Newhouse Fishery is set in a beautiful steep valley in the heart of South Devon. The main lake was formed by damming the Brook, a tributary of the River Avon and Newhouse fishery is now one of the best fisheries for Rainbow trout and the occasional small Brown Trout in the South West. There are three lakes, the main one is approximately 20 acres in size while the other two are much smaller.

Fishery in need of TLC. Main lake had weed problem. Looks as if owners have lost interest. Could and should be much better.

Used to fish there regularly but prices rose far too high for the quality of fish caught, most likely the smaller ones (up to 1.5lb) from the stew pond released into the main lake, that's what it appeared to be as the only source of restocking the lake, smaller of the two lakes was full of uncontrolled weed and unfishable

Nice location, but had a couple of trout with gill rot. The owner/manager seems tight as a duck and overdue for retirement.
