The lake has been stocked with several thousand small but fast-growing mirror and common carp obtained from both AJS Fisheries and Sporting and Leisure Fisheries. The largest fish introduced weighed no more than 5lbs but already fish over 20lbs have been caught. The lake has benefited from flooding from the nearby river Ivel and a variety of fish have established themselves. Carp to 20lbs+, Bream to 12lbs, Tench to 9lbs, Pike to well over 20lbs, Perch to 4lbs, big Eels, roach, rudd , golden rudd, orfe and hybrids are all present. The Association is establishing the water as a well-stocked fishery to provide good sport throughout the year.
