Boreham mere fishery is approximately 10 acres in size with 3 lakes on the complex which are 6.6 acres, 1.5 acres, and 0.25 acres. It also has 2 stock ponds onsite which are not allowed to be fished. The main and back lakes were both restocked in 1996 and 1997 with 20,000 of fish (varied species). These fish are gaining weight rapidly thanks to all of the natural food and weed during the warmer months.
The carp that were stocked in the main lake at 10-12lb are now easily over the 25lb mark and tipping over 30lb. night fishing is allowed on this venue providing that you have a permit. The main lake has tench over 6lb, bream over 12lb, perch to 2lb, carp to the 37lb mark and pike to 23lb. There is also large shoals of rudd and roach.
The back lake has carp to the upper double-figure mark with heaps of crucian carp, roach, perch to 4lb and eels.
The small lake was restocked with tench, rudd, roach and crucian carp in 1997.
