Kings Pond has been developed as a water that will provide productive sport for our younger anglers and has already become a firm favourite with many of our members, whatever their level of experience.
This pretty little 16 peg fishery in the Badshot Lea Complex was a great success in the 2007-8 season. Lush green grass swims have lily pads on both sides and vegetation on the far bank. Generous stockings provide good sport in all seasons.
Hundreds of 8-10 once Crucians, loads of beautiful green, golden Tench to 2 lb 8 oz for the summer and autumn. Hundreds of Roach, Chub and Roach/Bream hybrids to 1 lb 8 oz for colder months. More accomplished anglers will catch huge bags of fish because it offers easy sport for our less experienced members and will be used to train and coach our juniors in float fishing. The downside to this popular venue is that you might have to get up early to secure a peg.
The recent addition of stillwater Barbel to this venue will make a welcome alternative to the normal run of fish and should prove a challenge on light tackle.
