The fishery is a 4.5 acre man-made lake, dug out in 1978 - 1980. The lake was originally a trout fishery and opened as a course fishery in 1994. The lake has a ballast and chalk bottom. The lake averages about 12 feet deep but it is 35 feet deep in places. It has a island in the middle and is fed by three natural springs. The lake has over hanging weeping willow trees around the edges. The fish spawn on the roots of the trees in the spring. At the far end of the fishery there's a fishing lodge were a few bits of bait and tackle can be purchased. Next to the lodge there's the ladies and gents toilets.

Hi will your lake be open on the Thursday 27 December 2018 I'm trying to find a lake that's close to home to fish on that day. Cheers Neil

Hi There -I was wondering what the opening times were and the price for day fishing. It would be me and my 8 year old son with a small spin rod and a whip pole. We would only be corse fishing. Please advise. Thanks Graham

This fishery closed down in 2017. It is not reopening
