The fishery is a 4.5 acre man-made lake, dug out in 1978 - 1980. The lake was originally a trout fishery and opened as a course fishery in 1994. The lake has a ballast and chalk bottom. The lake averages about 12 feet deep but it is 35 feet deep in places. It has a island in the middle and is fed by three natural springs. The lake has over hanging weeping willow trees around the edges. The fish spawn on the roots of the trees in the spring. At the far end of the fishery there's a fishing lodge were a few bits of bait and tackle can be purchased. Next to the lodge there's the ladies and gents toilets.
