Marford Farm is located outside Wheathampstead on the upper River Lea offering approximately one mile of bank.This stretch of River Lea, controlled by Verulam Angling Club, contains a good namber of quality Roach and Barbel to 10lb, Carp to 15lb, chub to 5lb, perch, gudgeon and dace. There are two section of the stretch, the shorter upstream section can be very busy whereas the downstream 'Long Walk' is often deserted and, in recent years, has produced a number of excellent specimens.Members should check their rule books and fishery notice boards for further rules that may apply particularly start and finish times - No Night Fishing.This is a very popular fishery and members are asked to be considerate to others and to the fish, using suitable tackle and weigh-mats.
