The grounds surrounding the house include large gardens, a two and a half acre fishing lake, conservation woodlands and wildlife ponds.
There is a beautiful 2.5 acre lake set amongst trees in a 6 acre site and bounded on one side by the Eyebrook River.
The lake at Sweethedges farm is well stocked with Carp, Tench, Roach and Bream, all up to specimen size.
Open for fishing all year round. Permits available from Site Office. There are 24 swims. The lake is open from dawn till dusk.

Tried to fish today, at best there are five pegs possible to fish from, the water level was very low and weeded up, I suspect the bottom is silted up as I had no joy with feeders and the amount of weed on the top restricted floats and floating bait, there was some movement of Carp but all in all a waste of time, it could be brilliant, but has been seriously neglected
