After 3 holidays at this place and 4th one booked for this April, we had to cancel due to unforseen circumstances, so I gave the nessasarry 42+ days notice to cancel our holiday, and I had given £300 to hold our deposit instead of the needed amount of one nights stay (£75) ... presumed they would honour their website and refund £225 back to us, but instead no news and they just ignored my frequent emails for refund request, then told I would not be getting any money back , because I had booked over the phone (which I was advised to by the so called owner of this site , as we saved £10 this way ) which then made the situation complicated as they refused to refund our money, baring in mind I am disabled and on benefits so every penny was desperately needed to live on, we have had 3 holidays there and spent thousands with their whole in the ground fisheries , so disappointed beyond words , its not fair play to be coerced in to booking a holiday by the owner , then this made my legal rights for a refund to be cancelled, but I gave the best shot at playing nicely and requesting my money back less one nights stay (£75)deposit, as their website states that they honour this , but this is hidden in a 3rd party website and not made clear when I booked over the phone and not on their website, that my rights would not be honoured , I am lost for words that a multi million pound business can Rob and steal and get away with this, its just put a massive stain on our experiences at this place and reccomend avoid booking with their over priced accommodation, that is dated and in desperate need of an uplift and cleaning !!! Please share this experience as much and everywhere possible so no one else can be scammed by this place ... sycamore lakes avoid!!!
