Scot Lane New Pond is a relatively small but attractive water of approximately one acre in size. It comprises of two ponds each with an island in the middle they are connected by a short canal. Locally, Scot Lane Pond is known as the 'Figure of Eight' because of its shape. Scot Lane New Pond is located near to the JJB Stadium on Stadium Way so when you turn into Stadium Way you will find the car park on the right hand side and the water is located on the left hand side.
Day tickets are available on the bank. Adults £3.00 - O .A. P's £ 2.00. - Juv £0.50p
Now the club has just signed a new long term lease with Wigan Council work has started on new fishing pegs. All the old wooden pegs have been taken out of the back pond and replaced with 20 concrete ones. A further 18 pegs have just been renewed on the 14th & 15th of April on the front pond and part of the canal giving a total of 38 pegs refurbished.

This pond is well managed by the bailiff "jay'" there are lots of carp near to 20lb as well as all other fish. It as man y features and although there was an incident several years ago when the water was poisoned from nearby factory it seems to have made a full recovery..

Total discrace, dead fish everywhere, not looked after. Its an absolute shame for this to be allowed to happen.
