Knightscote Ponds

Breakspear Road North, Harefield, UB9 6, Middlesex, United Kingdom

This fishery comprises two small ponds, each with about 15 pegs, just outside Harefield on the road to Ickenham. The ponds are managed by Harefield Angling Project which is an Uxbridge Rovers venture to promote angling for the under sixteen's and the disabled. This project is supported by Hilingdon Council, the Environment Agency (who have provided technical assistance and stock). Uxbridge Rovers are indebted to Harefield Tackle for their sponsorship and help in running the project. The top pond is no more than 20 yards from the car park and is fishable from three banks. The bank nearest the car park tends to be the most popular. The lower pond is a 15-minute walk down the hill, hidden away in the woods. Whilst not so weedy there are many snags from the trees that have collapsed into the water. Large Carp, up to 8lb, can be seen cruising around and the resident pike frequently send the shoals of fry scurrying about. This pond is no more than 4ft deep but care must be exercised due the very deep silt. This fishery is closed from 1st January to 31st March.
