In addition to a roughly mile section of the River Wensum, Taverham Mill has four fishing lakes, including the 22-acre Mills lake, which is totally otter walled.
Look no further if you're seeking for carp lakes in Norfolk. The Mill has carp up to 35 pounds and tench up to 9 pounds. Anglers can catch roach, perch, pike, and even eels when fishing.

The Mills: With islands, peninsulas, lily pads, and gravel bars, The Mills is ideal for fishermen of all skills and is stocked with roughly 350 mirror and common carp, as well as tench and pike during the winter months.

Lake No. 1 in Costessey is a newly opened three-acre multipurpose fishing lake. A day ticket is required to fish the lake, which is ideal for beginners.

Lake No.2 is a mature gravel pit set in woods, stocked with roughly 80 mirrors and commons up to the mid-30lb range. Lake No.2 is popular with fishermen, with lots of underwater features and weeds to add to the difficulty. As a result, a waiting list is in place.

Lake No. 3 in Costessey was formerly the county record holder for a mirror carp, with fish weighing up to 40 pounds! Despite its tiny size, this lake presents several obstacles and is only suitable for experienced fisherman. A season ticket waiting list is in effect due to the popularity.

Anglers may fish the picturesque River Wensum in addition to the lakes. Two weir pools, deep pools, shallow gravel runs, lilies, reeds, and snaggy sections make up our 34-mile route. Anglers of all levels can target chub, which are plentiful and weigh between 3 and 5 pounds, roach, perch, pike, and little barbel.

Fishing is authorized for individuals who have purchased a season ticket or who are staying in our affordable lodging. You could see wildlife in addition to the serene atmosphere.
