Lake Heath
The lake has 16 pegs, 14 of which are designated for night fishing and two for day fishing only. It is placed on two acres of water and is likely to have the greatest population of carp over 20lbs in Somerset, with some carp reaching weights of over 30lbs.
We accept appointments from 24 to 120 hours in advance, with the opportunity to add an extra 24 hours at the time of booking.
If you're interested in booking a day-only swim, pegs 7 and 8 may be reserved at any time, while any of the other pegs may become available for day sessions if they are not booked for night fishing but only 24 hours before your intended fish.
Lake Moors
This is our primary match and leisure fishing lake; it has 48 permanent pegs on comfortable platforms and spans an area of about 5 acres.
The lake's close and distant borders are sharply shelving. Typically, depths are approximately 6ft, and the bottom is very flat.
Techniques for catching carp
All year round, a bomb or cage feeder with pellets is a highly profitable strategy for carp.
Pellet waggler fishing to Island works well during the warmer months and may also yield Chub over 3lb.
Pole-fished pellets, paste, or grain may yield large quantities of Carp, Bream, and Tench.
