Saunders Gravel Pit belongs to Clive Vale Angling Club which was founded in Hastings, East Sussex by a local fisherman back in 1912. Over the years Clive Vale has acquired numerous fisheries across the South East and currently has 8 Rivers and 4 Lakes available to their members. Some of their waters offer members the opportunity to fish all year round. Saunders Gravel Pit contains large mirrors and commons, bream, tench, rudd and roach, perch and eels. The water is deep and banks are steep in places. This water is currently limited to 30 anglers a day. All fishermen are welcome from beginners to match fisherman. Club memberships are available from all local tackle shops. Junior anglers must be accompanied by an adult member when fishing this water.
