River Arun

London Road, Pulborough, RH20 1AL, West Sussex, United Kingdom

The Arun River is a tidal river that should appeal to both carp and pike fisherman. Big carp have been spotted travelling through this stretch, with fish over 20 pounds landed, while pike are plentiful, with 30 pound plus fish captured on the other side!

Chub and roach are the most popular species for pleasure fishing. Coarse fish bags in the double digits are not unusual. Anglers should be aware that since this portion of the river is tidal, there is a 1.5-meter difference between high and low water.

Take caution as the banks get quite slick. Fishing is greatest in high water and on a rising tide. Add four hours to the Littlehampton tides for the high tide timings.
