The fisheries on the River Avon are as outstanding as they've ever been, despite alot of anglers moving toward stillwater fishing. Claverton features a lot of huge barbel, as well as a lot of doubles for this popular species. The Chub and Pike are abundant and of fair size. In recent years, the Newbridge to Kelston section has produced huge Bream and Roach.
