Fewston and Swinsty Reservoir are both very good rainbow trout fisheries with wild brown trout present. They are run by Yorkshire Water and are located just off the A59 between Harrogate and Skipton.
Swinsty Reservoir is located in the Washburn valley north of Otley and west of Harrogate in Yorkshire. The reservoir is below and directly adjoining Fewston Reservoir.
Fewston and Swinsty Reservoir are both very good rainbow trout fisheries with wild brown trout present. They are run by Yorkshire Water and are located just off the A59 between Harrogate and Skipton.
Fewston and Swinsty provide a pleasurable day out fly fishing in superb surroundings. They are both about 150 acres in size.
Bank fishing only.
Tickets can be obtained in the fishery office, on the south end of Fewston dam wall. The office is sign posted from the A59 near Blubberhouses.
Opening day (which is usually around the end of March) is something quite special, with bags of up to 30-40 fish not uncommon.
