Brickfield Pond

Cefndy Road, Rhyl, LL18 2, Denbighshire, United Kingdom

The Brickfield Pond is a 9-acre old clay pit in the heart of Rhyl, a coastal resort town.
The lake is located inside the Denbighshire County Council's Brickfield nature reserve, which is open to the public 24 hours a day. The lake is a mature, well-established nature paradise as well as a treasure trove for both carp and course anglers. The water quality is great, but the presence of large beds of Canadian pond weed may make fishing difficult at times of the year.
There are 12 fishable swims, including four enormous doubles, all of which are gravel and only flood very occasionally.

In terms of carp fishing, the lake is best regarded as intermediate to advanced in skill level, while course fishing is novice level, albeit huge bags are exceedingly unusual owing to the variation of depths.

Carp to over 20lb
Pike to over 10lb
