Springwater Lakes

Harford, Llanwrda, Carmarthenshire SA19 8DT

The Fly Fishing Lake is exclusively for fly fishing and is well stocked with hard fighting Brown and Rainbow trout up to 8 pounds. It boasts a diverse fly population, ranging from Buzzers to Damsels, as well as an abundance of Alder flies in May, which makes for some thrilling dry fly fishing. Small white lures, which resemble the abundant Rudd Fry, also work well.

The coarse fishing lake is around 3 acres in size, with depths ranging from 3 to 8 feet, and has a decent mix of Crusian, Mirror, and Common Carp, huge Tench and Bream, Roach, Rudd, Golden Orfe, and Perch. All fishing tactics and baits work well here, and the abundance of Roach and Rudd provide immediate action, making it a perfect spot for both experienced and inexperienced anglers.

The Specimen Fishing Lake is about 3 acres in size, with depths ranging from 3 to 12 feet, and is well stocked with Mirror and Common Carp reaching more than 35 pounds. This mature lake, with its uneven form and many characteristics, including two islands and a high fish population, will appeal to specimen anglers.
