Denford Fishery is a famous chalk stream that rises above the Wiltshire college town of Marlborough and flows east through many picturesque villages and sites of early Saxon settlements. This water also includes many fast running pools formed years ago and part of the main Avington water is fished.The river Kennet mentioned in chronicles by such great fishermen as Sawyer and Skues, still offers the modern angler a chance to fish in the grand style. Traditional upstream dry fly fishing on the Kennet is the order of the day here from the 1st April until the season ends on 30th September.
