Llandegla Trout Coarse Fishery

Casgan Ditw Llandegla Wrexham LL11 3AA

Fly Fishing: We have two trout pools stocked with Rainbow, Brown, Tiger, and Gold Trout to a maximum weight of 15 pounds. Additionally, we have a natural Rudd stock.

At Llandegla Fishery, fly fishing for trout is quite popular, particularly during the winter months. All of our lakes are spring fed by the original Alyn Beck, which originates in Llandegla Moor and ultimately becomes the River Alyn, which flows past Loggerheads, Mold, and beyond. Our water may range in colour from 'Gin clear' to 'Bovril brown' depending on the temperature and rainfall, all of which contribute to an exciting and diverse fishing experience.

Coarse Fishing: We have two coarse lakes totaling around 2 acres that are stocked with Carp up to 15 pounds. Tench, Barbel, Chub, and Crucian Carp are the other species.
