The Park is surrounded by high cliffs that look out over the old woods. There are many trails, as well as a leisure area and a play area, as well as several picnic areas.

The park is open from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. and has paths with amazing views of the Rhondda Fach, including the famous "Old Smokey," which is today a popular hangout for nature lovers but it was formerly a mining landmark.

You must have a rod license or a general rivers license from Natural Resource Wales in order to fish in the lake.
